(pixar) up!
Aujourd'hui j'ai décidé que mon heure de dîner serait mon heure de Disney. Thus: ceci. C'est en anglais, parce que c'est la langue de l'internet, les enfants.

This is for [info]picspammy's current challenge, "short form". I wanted to do some end credits, because I am a bit of a freak and I always like to watch end credits until the very last second. (Sometimes there's stuff at the end! But mostly it's to show some kind of respect towards those who made the movie and entertained me for two hours. Is that weird?) Anyway, Pixar's credits are especially awesome. First I wanted to do Ratatouille, but I couldn't find any caps of the ending (what gives, world! The movie doesn't end at "End"!) and stumbled upon some Wall-E caps, so here we are. (I guess it could be considered spoilery if you don't know the main plot, or the fact that family movies end well.)

I really love how the painting styles follow human evolution - from grottoes to egyptian to kind of industrial? to impressionism to pointillism. & I really like the not-too-subtle Van Gogh homage in there. So, A+ PIXAR.

I agree! It fit very well and complemented the lack of color from much of the movie.

Oh wow, I don't think I've ever sat through the credit sequence fully. I feel really ashamed now. All the art styles! BEAUTIFUL!

Well, not going to lie, most credit sequences are boring ;) Animation moves are usually better though. Glad I could make you discover something!

Well, the visual style is actually very different from the credits. But you should definitely watch it, it's very good!

I totally agree, they're a nice counterpart to the bleak feel of most of the movie. Thanks for commenting!

Wow, these look even more beautiful all collected in caps like this! Wonderful film, wonderful credits (as is the Pixar way). Lovely work! (I now have that gorgeous Peter Gabriel song in my head, thanks!)

You're right, Lemony Snicket's credits were awesome and spooky, I had forgotten! I love it so much when filmmakers take the time to make great credits.

And what a lovely choice for a picspam! I loved how the painting styles changed over time :)
